Local author Kathryn Witt hosts book signings and mini scavenger hunts in December Cincinnati Scavengerpublished by Reedy Press.

Witt’s new book is a fun, challenging and unforgettable way to explore the city on foot as you uncover its mystery and history across the diverse neighborhoods of the Queen City region.

Take your family or a group of friends to solve 345 puzzles and clues spread across 19 boroughs – and blast through the streets of Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky and Southeast Indiana.

As an avid traveler who grew up in the Cincinnati area and chose to remain there, Witt brings her love and enthusiasm for the diverse and vibrant communities to this unique adventure, the clues of which are presented entirely in rhyming verse and accompanied by visual clues will .

Locals and visitors alike will be inspired to see Cincinnati in a whole new way as they delve into any or all of the clues and put their curiosity to the test.

Can you guess the clues? The main characters of a Norwegian folk tale. An outdoor lipstick. A prehistoric creature that dates back to the Mesozoic Era. A restaurant associated with Shakespeare. . .Just to suggest a few.

Kathryn Witt is an award-winning travel and lifestyle writer, columnist for syndicated travel and travel articles, and author of several books including Secret Cincinnati: A Guide to the Weird, Wonderful, and Obscure and the novel The Secret of the Beautiful.
