It felt like Thanksgiving at Rupp Arena on Wednesday afternoon as No. 15 Kentucky engulfed North Florida for 40 minutes, beating the Ospreys 96-56.
Three Wildcats hit double figures in a nice and easy chance after the disappointing hit in Spokane by then-No. 2 Gonzaga. It’s Kentucky’s second win against UNF in as many years.

Shooting guard Antonio Reeves was careful not to squander his first wildcat start as he worked his way up to 20th place Points to 7-12 shoot, collect four 3 hands. He has now scored 10 points in five out of six games for Great Britain and has made at least one deep ball every time he has stepped on the pitch in blue and white.
Three runs to at least seven points to zero gave the Wildcats a 54-23 lead at halftime. Reeves had 18 of his 20 in the first 20 minutes and knocked down four from behind the arc, while superstar center Oscar Tshiebwe came oh-so-close with 10 points and nine rebounds to an early double-double.
It took the reigning international of the year less than a minute to hit his usual mark. In 22 minutes, he recorded another impressive stat of 16 points, 15 rebounds, five assists, three blocks and two steals. He has now had at least 10 points and 10 rebounds in 19 of his last 20 games for Kentucky, dating back to last season.

The second half was just as casual as the first, although forward Jacob Toppin opted to take over for the first time this season, dropping the side’s best 12 points in the back 20, leading him to his new career high of 20. He added 10 Boards to achieve his second career double-double.
Jarius Hicklen led North Florida (1-4) with 17 points, beating four 3 pointer by itself. As a team, UNF only made six shots from downtown.
Kentucky (4-2) destroyed UNF on the glass and won the rebound fight 50-35. No osprey recorded more than five boards Wednesday afternoon.
The Wildcats are now entering a welcome six-day hiatus, not returning to action until Tuesday, November 29, when the state’s Bellarmine Knights will enter Rupp Arena just two days after the game at UCLA in Los Angeles. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. EST.
